footnote

Fes: The city of 9000 alleys. The current header I took at the Jem El Fna, but though Marrakesh is the oft cited destination in Morocco, Fes is the real gem. I am dying to have someone go to Fes and report back. I think it the most unique city I have been to. Morocco is sometimes not an enjoyable country to travel in, but making a hop over to Fes from Europe would be great 4 day weekend trip. Better yet, go during L-Eid Kbir, where everyone slaughters a sheep and has a feast, wild stuff. Make sure you book a good guide and stay at a high end Riad deep in the Medina. Fes is nearly impenetrable to foreign travelers, and lousy with touts, so I am afraid that the low end way is not a good value over the short haul.

Back on track. Here is a nice photo of the garden here at the farm, one day before a storm of grape size hail trashed most of Tess' garden.

Ron, post golf beer.
