big adventure

We braved going out to eat again with our little ticking time bomb, but our timing was good and she did not go off until we were doing some errands later in the car, so we had a great meal. Good Mex here at Senor Moose. Tams dish, sopas, was only fair (the tomatillo tasted like Herdez), but my machaca tacos were quite good, and the chips and avo/salsa that came out before the meal were tasty. They have a sampling of foods from all over Mexico, not just Sonora, so there are lots of things to try here, lots of potential.

The slacker service was friendly enough and the dudes in the kitchen know what they are doing (Don Cheto vinyls on the cars out back), so my guess is the soups are the way to go. They were roasting chiles on the grill when we got there, burning lungs and coughing all around. Good times. We sat at the counter and chatted with a woman who grew up in Silicon Valley, then moved to Seattle 10yrs ago, and has worked for Starbucks ever since. She's a drink designer, what a job.
