Spock - ears + singer/songwriter = Leonard Cohen

Short version: Whoa, KD Lang on fire!



Medium version: I wanted to post our favorite song, one for each of us, and I asked Tam what her all time favorite was, and Cohen's Hallelujah was in the top picks.

On Youtube checkout Leonard Cohen, the guy who wrote this, do this song. The jump from LC to KDL is like the Dylan to Hendrix morph of "All along the Watchtower." Cohen's lyrics are also worth a google.

I went through many of the covers, and Lang's is by far the best, and this version her most emotional. That might be the home crowd advantage. I would like to have seen Elvis do this song. She is channeling a bit of the King in this one. What a voice! Come the end for KD its either beatification or she has to settle with the Devil and sweat it out in the hotpot of hellfire with Robert Johnson and Ralph Macchio. There must be a price to pay, yin-yang and all that.
