The catch

The catch to the surf trip to OR is that you might be the catch. Malcolm snapped this with his cell phone the night we showed up at the beach. The meals eyes were still clear and it was not smelly, so it seemed a pretty recent event. He measured the bite radius at 14 inches. This right at the surf break. It is the near-shore feeding season for sharks.

I told Tam about the seal on the drive home. Oh yeah, the drive home. Here are some snaps. I did not get the pick of the guy on the motorcycle riding a wheelie on the freeway at 70 MPH. I did get this pick of kids walking the breakdown lane in the middle of I5 during the weekend rush. It looks mellow, but the cars are going 70, and it is crowded. I am not sure how they were even able to get there. There are 5 lanes or traffic on the other side of that barrier. Weird and sketchy.

Maybe they were in this car, which was just a bit before I saw them, that is why I was able to snap the above pic, as I had just taken the one below.

Approaching WA (blue tarp country, burning cars, humanity amok) on the other side of the bridge.
