"Big Bird"/"$11.99 Bike"/"Homeless Guy Bike"

When I first got this I called it "Big Bird," but after riding it about town, it has now become the "Homeless Guy Bike." Homeless dudes love it. No matter how dicey your background, at one time you had a Schwinn, and that is a good memory to hang your hat on. In fact, I look like a homeless guy when I ride it. I am about the right age, and I tend to dress down, so I become part of the crew. I bought it for 11.99, a minor story in itself, but I had to re-cable it, put on new rubber, get a lock, buy and install the basket, so, counting my hourly labor and parts, and running to get the parts, it is now the 237 dollar "$11.99 Bike." -e
