beauty to the beasts

Been going back through the archives and been on a Sex Pistols jag:

Oh man, what a moment in music history. Granted you have to pain through some difficult music, but that was the whole point. Johhny Rotten cast right from Clockwork Orange, taunting England in all its garbage strikes, unemployment, riots, and its widening gap between rich and poor. Warhol saw these guys coming, Velvet Underground the US version.

So this is the Pistols last gig, which took place in San Fran. Rotten was at odds with management who was cheating him of money, Sid was whacked on heroin, which Rotten hated, and the rest of the band was in bed with management. His singing could not be any more lo-fi in its taunting, sometimes Rotten just lazily banging the mike on the floor or looking at garbage. If you cant stomach it, just hear the last few notes of the band and hear his last words as a Sex Pistol, "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?" Brilliant guy.
