weekends
We spent a weekend in Westport, which as Malcolm pointed out, is a lot like going to Mexico, but without the good parts. The view from our hotel room was nice, overlooking the harbor and the RV lot.
It was a couples weekend with young kids in tow, so we got to check out the parenting side of things a bit. We have lots good role models to follow. Westport does have consistent surf, and we scored 2 sessions of head high plus out at the jetty, and inside the jetty these small ones were coming in that we surfed during sundown. Fun to surf right outside your hotel room. Tam came out and snapped a few in the fading light. Malcolm on the mini-drop.
Friends Kassie and Andreas got married up in Squamish. Was a beautiful weekend to be up there. The ceremony pictured here is at the top of some popular climbing crags, and many people climbed the afternoon away when the ceremony was done. I even got in a pitch or two, my first roped climbing in 10 years or so. Gravity is much stronger up in BC, I noticed.
