round

Got in a nice round between rainstorms with Ron on one of his local tracks called Outlook. Its the type of course where the front and back nine are very different. The front is flat, the back is on a big hill. I had a rare treat, a well played hole. Perfect drive on the 13th down a bowling alley of a fairway, then distance-perfect 8-iron approach just right 11 or so feet, and a putt for bird.

On the next par 3 we both 7-ironed within 6 or so feet, both backing up the ball 3 feet or so. That was a hoot. Evidence below, you can see the ball marks. Ron birdied, I was so happy about the previous hole and my well struck 7 off the tee that I didn't even care I two-putted. That hole is very similar to the 3par right next to Forrests place, the one where you look way down on the green. That one, as I recall, is a 9-iron, so shorter. Ron shot an 82, if memory serves, smokin.
