It was a 'Small Town America' run. The PA system blasted "Eye of the Tiger" and the theme from Chariots of Fire. The Natl Anthem was played right before the running. There was some confusion as to where the start would take place. Traffic was stopped on the main drag. Middle school kids held warning flags while talking on cell phones with friends. The pace car was a Ford Mustang from the local dealer. The finishing snack table had pizza! I had 3 slices. The course could have been far better, as there are lots of nice sites to take runners by and through, but it was a fun race to run; the smaller the better.
