Summer-like

It rained today, but it was different. The rain was the thunderstorm variety (though no thunder) and not the winter-like socked-in drizzle. It was steamy. Summer seems to have crept in, at least for a few days.

The pics being posted on the blog are much higher resolution than they have been in the past, so if you click on the photo you should get a big and clear version if you want to take a closer look. My new camera is grinding, just like my last one did before it died. We'll see. No drops, so unsure what caused it to go into death throes.

Last night we watched the last few hours of an Italian tv mini-series called "The Best of Youth." Very well done, but you have to be into subtitles and no action, more drama/soap opera. It traces the lives of 2 brothers from Rome, starting post WW2 to the present. Lots of Italian politics, family, location... really great.
