around the block p1
This is a follow up to the walkabout outside the workplace, except this time it is around the homespace, homeslice. It is hard to tell if we live in a great neighborhood, or whether we live in what is possibly the most overrated neighborhood in all of Seattle. The lots are small, the homes very expensive, the streets are a grid, the pollution is life shortening, and the neighbors take up a lot of air. On the good side, the place is clean, the houses can be charming, and the access to the freeways and the local businesses is excellent; very walkable. We like it.
This first house has great landsaping. The stones are not scarred at all. Someone knew what they were doing.
That dog will jump at your throat from up there, so keep your eyes open.
This church has beautiful symmetry. Line that collection tray on Sundays and maybe they will bury the powerlines (that made it almost impossible to get an acceptable shot).

Now that California will be on fire for the next couple decades, you have to come up here to see the poppies, now called Washington Poppies (Eschscholzia Washingtonica).
