snow lake

This hike starts at the ski lifts at Snoqualmie Pass. You hike a few miles and 1000ft up the valley and pass down over a ridge to the lake. The top of the tree that points in the middle of the lake also points to the outflow spot of the lake.

We thought, or I thought, eating lunch at this log bridge at the outflow would be a good idea.

We froze, as any physics student would have known that the outflow for the water was also the outflow for the heavy cold air. We did not last here long, but what a spot.

This is heading back down the pass and back to the car, with visions of Udupi in our heads.

Southern Indian food at Udupi Palace, if palace describes a formica'd strip mall joint in Redmond. It rates 0 on ambiance, but the food is authentic, according to Southern Indian foodies. The ambiance is so bad, it is almost good, but not really. Anyway, of 30 customers that were there we were the only non-Indians. This restaurant is tops on Malcolm's circuit. -eh
