Shich Yeah!

Hello out there, Em here. Got to see Shellac, a rarity, something I have been waiting for at least 10 years. They rarely play live, and when they do it seems it is Europe or Asia. I just got in because the 3 people in front of me wanted to go in together and opted not to buy the last ticket. It was a great show, very spartan, no nonsense, very hard hitting. I don't listen to this type of music much anymore, but I was caught up right away. Ear plugs were a must, tiny space, big sound. Drummer must have been using the sine wave boost as my insides were literally rattling, yet it was good clean sound for rock, could understand every word, and they use lots of negative space, wierd full measure rests and such, but now I am talking over my head. The show kicked ass, I am comfortable with that.
